Golden Treasure Chests are the highest-tier locked chests in the Aether, holding its most valuable loot. Open one with a Golden Key — and stay alert for a Mimic.
Variants
Three variants can be placed by the player, each behaving differently when opened:
Golden Chest — always contains loot; never a mimic. A guaranteed reward.
Golden Mimic Chest — always a Mimic in disguise; it springs to life and attacks when opened.
Golden Imposter Chest — a gamble: it may hold loot, or it may turn out to be a Mimic. This is how chests behave when found naturally.
Loot
Golden chests hold the best rewards in the Aether: top-tier Ancient, Sun and Valkyrie gear alongside Zanite and Gravitite (some enchanted), both Tier 1 and Tier 2 artifacts, and a random Relic. This is the most rewarding chest to find.
Golden Treasure Chests are found in the Aether's most dangerous structures and dungeons, and a Golden Key can drop from Silver chests. Placable item can be found in the creative inventory.
