The Ancient Shield is an off-hand item that blocks incoming damage and releases a charged shield bash.
Usage
The Ancient Shield can be held in the main hand or off hand. Crouching raises the shield after a brief moment, making the player invulnerable to damage while blocking. Holding the crouch keeps charging the bash for a short time.
Releasing crouch performs a shield bash that damages and knocks back nearby enemies in an area around the player — both the damage and the knockback scale with how long the shield was charged, with a fully charged bash playing a stronger effect. Attacking while blocking cancels the charge. The shield can be repaired with a Mending Brew.
