The Blight Beetle is a small, hostile insect of the Blight that swarms out of its nest and bites intruders with an intoxicating venom.
Behavior
The Blight Beetle is a hostile mob that scuttles along the ground and bites players in melee. Its bite deals only light damage, but each hit has a chance to inflict an inebriation effect.
Beetles emerge from and return to Blight Beetle Nests, staying near their home and swarming any player who gets close.
Spawning
It spawns via Blight Beetle Nest blocks found in the Blight, which periodically release beetles onto nearby valid ground up to a cap of four beetles within 16 blocks of the nest.
Drops
When killed, the Blight Beetle drops Blight Foam and may rarely drop an Irradiata flower. You can use shears on a variant with a flower to get an Irradiata flower. It also has a rare chance to drop a dungeon key: a Bronze Key, Silver Key, or Golden Key.
